Accomodation: Hotel Infante Sagres, Porto

As soon as we arrived at Porto, we had a very special surprise dinner planned for Reshma at our Hotel, Infante Sagres. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, we truly enjoyed our stay there.

The next day in Porto was an unforgettable experience for all of us! We started off the day at Calem for a port tasting session. As we walked in, the aroma of different types of port greeted us and we knew it was going to be a great day. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and took us through the different types of port and their unique flavor profiles. The highlight of the tasting for us was definitely the vintage port – it was rich, complex, and absolutely delicious.

After the tasting, we made our way to Barao Fladgate for lunch. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere with a large balcony and incredible views of the city! The food and wine was absolutely fantastic.

To finish off the day, we headed to Vinum for a special private birthday dinner in the barrel room. The ambiance of the room was truly unique and added to the overall experience. The wines were carefully selected to pair with the delicious food, and it was the perfect way to celebrate my milestone birthday. Friends truly spoiled me with a perfect day!

Day 2 started off with a visit to Paco Episcopal do Porto. The architecture of the building was stunning. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful tilework and stained glass windows.

After the visit, we took a leisurely stroll along the river, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. The Douro River is truly a beautiful spot and it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Finally, we visited General Humberto Delgado Square, which was a great way to end our trip. The square is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike and it was lively and bustling with activity.

Lastly I must add that the nightlife in Porto surprised us all. We had an amazing time walking out from our hotel in Riberia to the outdoor street music venues and nightclubs during both the nights we stayed in Porto.
