~ 5 mile hike to Rio Celeste waterfall

The plans for today was to transfer from the Arenal area to to coast of Guanacaste.

Our stop on the way was Tenorio Volcano National Park. Another spectacular national park filled with volcanic soil and lush rainforests.

The trail went through blue lagoon and bubbling sulfur springs.

we finally witnessed the breathtaking Rio Celeste waterfall. The sky blue color of the waterfall comes from rich mineral sediments. It was beautiful!

The day ended with costa rican meal at a local restaurant prior to checkin in at our next hotel in Guanacaste.
