Visiting the world famous slot canyon – Antelope Canyon was a bucket list item for all of us and we got to check it off as a group. t

The Antelope Canyon is protected by the Navajo Parks and Recreation and you can only access it through authorized tour companies can take visitors to the canyon. Safety and preventing vandalism are the main reasons why everyone needs a guided tour accordinng to the Navaho Parks.

There was not much hiking here, it was a straight forward access made available by tour company. We were taken to the canyon in a shared vehicle and were guided to the canyons through ~40 minute walk inside the canyons.

The guides helped us with proper camera settings on our phones to be able to capture stunning images. They also showed us various angles where you can see some shapes formed by canyon walls.

The trip had to end by a quick visit to the picturesque Horse Shoe Band, it’s right around the corner from this area.
