My son chose to spend a day at the Rock city in Mount Diablo state Park for his 10th birthday – with family, cousins and friends.
Rock City is hands down fun spot for the children and adults alike. Sandstone monoliths at Rock City are carved into exquisite shapes by natures elements, incorporating cool caves within.
Sentinel Rock at the Rock City is an ultimate winner. You will be glued there for a while if you find it. There is an easy way to climb up the big rock with the help of half dome – like chains. Once you make it to the top, you get rewarded by a breadth-taking 360 degrees views of the state park.
All in all, my 10 and 13 year old sons loves to go to Rock City to hide in the caves and climb and play around a bunch of cool sandstone rocks, which says a lot about this place.
