Elderberry – Rocky Ridge View trail loop

Elderberry – Rocky Ridge View Trail Loop,

Las Trampas Regional Wilderness ( East Bay Area)

As I am exploring more trails here, Las Trampas Regional wilderness is quickly becoming one of my favorite local hiking spot. This Regional park is located in between San Ramon and Danville and is easily accessible from San Ramon in East Bay Area.

Last week’s rain in the bay area brought an amazing display of greenery and wild flowers on the local hills. Elderberry – Rocky Ridge View trail loop is approximately 4.7 miles loop trail which includes steep 900 ft ascent in one mile to the top of the ridge.

Las Trampas Regional Park has many trails of different length and steepness, but if you’re in the area in late winter or spring and have 2-3 hours to spend, I  highly recommend this loop trail for beautiful views of the surrounding hills.

Here are some photos I took with my iPhone camera.
