Hike the Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls

On August 4, 2025, we kicked off our adventure with an early rise and a quick bite at this delightful little neighborhood cafe called The Coffee Box. The atmosphere was cozy, and the smell of fresh coffee was too inviting to resist! A perfect start to what would be an action-packed day.

After our caffeine fix, we hit the road and drove up to Hurricane Ridge. The scenery on the way up was breathtaking, and once we arrived, we hopped onto the paved trail known as Hurricane Hill. The alpine views from the hill were nothing short of spectacular. We spent some time soaking it all in, snapping photos and enjoying the serenity of nature.

Next on our agenda was a visit to Lake Crescent. We had heard so much about this stunning alpine lake, and it truly lived up to the hype. The water was crystal clear, with hues of blue that looked almost surreal. We took a leisurely stroll around the lake, admiring the views and appreciating the peaceful ambiance. It was the perfect spot to eat our picnic lunch, unwind and appreciate the beauty that surrounded us.

To wrap up our day, we headed to Sol Duc Falls for a short hike. The falls were gorgeous, and the sound of rushing water was so refreshing after a day of exploration. It felt like a little slice of paradise.

When it came time for dinner, we were thrilled to hear about the Yodeling Restaurant, highly recommended by someone we met near our lodge. They had a fantastic selection of vegetarian options, and everything we tried was delicious. The cozy ambiance and friendly service made it the perfect end to our busy day. It was a great find and we felt lucky to get last minute reservations.

Overall, it was a day filled with adventure, beautiful sights, and delectable food. Can’t wait for our next outing!
